<p>CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. <a href="https://www.crowdstrike.com/en-us/press-releases/crowdstrike-to-acquire-seraphic-security/">announced</a> Tuesday it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Seraphic Security, a browser security startup, marking the cybersecurity giant’s fourth acquisition since August and its second in less than a week.</p><p>While CrowdStrike did not disclose financial terms, Israeli publication Calcalist reported the deal is worth approximately $400 million, to be paid predominantly in cash with a portion in stock subject to vesting conditions. The acquisition is expected to close during CrowdStrike’s first fiscal quarter ending April 30.</p><p>The acquisition continues CrowdStrike’s aggressive expansion strategy as it builds what executives call a comprehensive identity security solution spanning endpoints, browsers, and cloud environments.</p><p>The deal comes on the heels of CrowdStrike’s $740 million purchase of identity protection company SGNL last week, along with earlier acquisitions of data pipeline firm Onum for $290 million and generative artificial intelligence (AI) security startup Pangea for $260 million.</p><p>Founded in 2020 with offices in Silicon Valley and Israel, Seraphic has raised approximately $37 million from investors, including CrowdStrike’s own Falcon Fund venture capital arm. The startup specializes in protecting enterprise browsers from web-based cyberattacks without forcing users to adopt specific browsers.</p><p>Seraphic’s technology works by injecting an abstraction layer into browsers that isolates the JavaScript engine from malicious requests. The platform defends memory corruption exploits by randomizing memory addresses where browser code is stored, making it harder for hackers to inject malware. The system analyzes more than 200 data points per webpage to detect ransomware, phishing attempts, and other threats.</p><p>Beyond security, Seraphic addresses data leakage risks by scanning files uploaded to cloud services for sensitive business information and allowing administrators to control clipboard access, screen sharing, and printing functions. The platform also extends to desktop applications built on the Electron framework.</p><p>CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz emphasized the strategic importance of browser security, noting that employees spend 85% of their workday in browsers. “By decoupling security from the browser itself, we can turn any browser into a secure enterprise browser, without forcing change or slowing productivity,” Kurtz said in a statement.</p><p>The company plans to integrate Seraphic’s technology with its flagship Falcon cybersecurity platform and SGNL’s continuous authorization capabilities. This combination will enable real-time correlation of endpoint data with browser activity, allowing dynamic access controls that can be instantly revoked when suspicious behavior is detected.</p><p>The integration targets emerging threats in the AI era, including preventing unauthorized use of GenAI tools and protecting against session hijacking and sophisticated phishing attacks. Seraphic will also roll out new safeguards against shadow AI services on both company-issued and personal devices.</p><p>“In joining CrowdStrike, we are bringing platform-level protection to the most important execution layer in the enterprise,” said Seraphic CEO Ilan Yeshua.</p><div class="spu-placeholder" style="display:none"></div><div class="addtoany_share_save_container addtoany_content addtoany_content_bottom"><div class="a2a_kit a2a_kit_size_20 addtoany_list" data-a2a-url="https://securityboulevard.com/2026/01/crowdstrike-acquires-browser-security-startup-seraphic-in-latest-buying-spree/" data-a2a-title="CrowdStrike Acquires Browser Security Startup Seraphic in Latest Buying Spree"><a class="a2a_button_twitter" href="https://www.addtoany.com/add_to/twitter?linkurl=https%3A%2F%2Fsecurityboulevard.com%2F2026%2F01%2Fcrowdstrike-acquires-browser-security-startup-seraphic-in-latest-buying-spree%2F&linkname=CrowdStrike%20Acquires%20Browser%20Security%20Startup%20Seraphic%20in%20Latest%20Buying%20Spree" title="Twitter" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"></a><a class="a2a_button_linkedin" href="https://www.addtoany.com/add_to/linkedin?linkurl=https%3A%2F%2Fsecurityboulevard.com%2F2026%2F01%2Fcrowdstrike-acquires-browser-security-startup-seraphic-in-latest-buying-spree%2F&linkname=CrowdStrike%20Acquires%20Browser%20Security%20Startup%20Seraphic%20in%20Latest%20Buying%20Spree" title="LinkedIn" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"></a><a class="a2a_button_facebook" href="https://www.addtoany.com/add_to/facebook?linkurl=https%3A%2F%2Fsecurityboulevard.com%2F2026%2F01%2Fcrowdstrike-acquires-browser-security-startup-seraphic-in-latest-buying-spree%2F&linkname=CrowdStrike%20Acquires%20Browser%20Security%20Startup%20Seraphic%20in%20Latest%20Buying%20Spree" title="Facebook" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"></a><a class="a2a_button_reddit" href="https://www.addtoany.com/add_to/reddit?linkurl=https%3A%2F%2Fsecurityboulevard.com%2F2026%2F01%2Fcrowdstrike-acquires-browser-security-startup-seraphic-in-latest-buying-spree%2F&linkname=CrowdStrike%20Acquires%20Browser%20Security%20Startup%20Seraphic%20in%20Latest%20Buying%20Spree" title="Reddit" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"></a><a class="a2a_button_email" href="https://www.addtoany.com/add_to/email?linkurl=https%3A%2F%2Fsecurityboulevard.com%2F2026%2F01%2Fcrowdstrike-acquires-browser-security-startup-seraphic-in-latest-buying-spree%2F&linkname=CrowdStrike%20Acquires%20Browser%20Security%20Startup%20Seraphic%20in%20Latest%20Buying%20Spree" title="Email" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"></a><a class="a2a_dd addtoany_share_save addtoany_share" href="https://www.addtoany.com/share"></a></div></div>
