IFPO appoints executive committee

<div class="body gsd-paywall article-body"><p>IFPO Announces Appointment of Executive Committee for the IFPO Board of Directors. The International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) is dedicated to providing meaningful, cost effective education for all levels of security personnel.</p><p>Sandi Davies, Executive Director of IFPO is looking forward to working with the new Board. She explains, “The goal of IFPO is to provide relevant educational programs and opportunities for security personnel. With the background and experience of these individuals, I am certain<br> that we will exceed our goals. Each of them brings a wealth of knowledge to our Board.”</p> <div id="div-gpt-ad-article-body-sky-mobile" class="advertisement"></div> <p>The IFPO Executive Committee includes:</p><p><strong>Chair -</strong> Dr. Linda Florence is the founder of The Florence Group, (pictured above in middle) a management consulting firm specializing in executive development,<br> organizational consulting, and leadership coaching for the security profession with a wide range of successful consulting and training<br> engagements. Florence has more than 25 years of experience driving enterprise security risk management to best-practice levels with an expertise in<br> leading organizations through crisis events. She has experience leading the Security function for Fortune 500 companies in various industries including banking, retail, telecom, hospitality and healthcare: integrating security and enterprise risk management as essential elements of business strategy and culture. She is a sought-after speaker on security and leadership topics, an expert witness for security, researcher, published author, and currently serves on the ASIS Professional Standards Board. Her academic experience includes serving as Dean of Security studies for Henley-Putnam University and University of Phoenix, and she continues to mentor doctoral candidates.</p><p>Florence earned a Ph.D. and M.S. in Industrial / Organizational Psychology, focusing on workplace violence prevention and leadership. Additionally, she is a two-time recipient of the ASIS President’s Award of Merit and the 2018 honoree of the ASIS International - Karen Marquez Award from the ASIS Women in Security Council.</p> <div id="div-gpt-ad-sidebar-sky-mobile" class="advertisement"></div> <p><strong>Vice Chair -</strong> Kevin Palacios (MS.c, CPP, PSP, PCI, CPOI) (pictured above at left) is ardent supporter of security, safety, and education. As one of the very few Latin American ASIS triple crowners, Kevin has worked in several industries with responsibilities that include Executive Protection, Investigations, Physical Security, Training and Consulting. Currently, in addition to running his private security coaching practice, Palacios teaches at the Occupational Health and Safety Master's degree in Universidad del Pacífico – Ecuador and is also an instructor for Professional Security Certification training programs in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Oceania.</p><p>He has served in multiple volunteer leader positions at ASIS, ASSP and ICF. Currently is a member of ASIS Investigations and Executive Protection councils. Has published multiple articles in the America's and Europe and is also a contributing author in both of IFPO's textbooks: Security Supervision and Management: Theory and Practice of Asset Protection; and, The Professional Protection Officer: Practical Security Strategies and Emerging Trends.</p><p><strong>Secretary/Treasurer - </strong>Marianna A. Perry (M.S., CPP, CPOI) (pictured above at right) received her B.A. from Bellarmine University and her Master’s Degree in Loss Prevention &amp; Safety from Eastern Kentucky University. She is a safety and security consultant and owns AEDs &amp; Safety Services, LLC. Perry is a former trooper and detective with the Kentucky State Police and was previously the Director of the National Crime Prevention Institute (NCPI) at the University of Louisville. She has numerous articles and whitepapers that have been published in addition to the following books she has co-authored with Lawrence J.
